DJ Plus One - still number 1 routine

If you're new here and like what you see, you may want to subscribe to my email alerts or RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

DJ Plus One tears this shit to shreds. A very solid routine with razor sharp cuts and some seriously smooth beat juggling - I love the juggle-cuts style too. Very post worthy.

UPDATE: I have updated the video on this post as the previous one was removed from YouTube by the user.

Above is the still number one routine for those who just want the cuts, below is the full version with a break down of the routine.

The one below is actually better in a way as he explains how he developed the routine and the ideas behind it. This one is a bit more of a tutorial but he performs the routine at the end. A lot can be learned from a World DMC Champion…

DJ QBert - The Baby Scratch

QBert expplains the baby scratch. The most basic scratch of all, it is something that should be mastered before moving to the more advanced moves. Practice, practice, practice.

DJ QBert - Waves scratch

This video demonstrates how to do the wave scratch. It is basically another variation/advance of the baby scratch and is quite a nice sounding faderless scratch when done correctly.

How to beat juggle (Shortee 101)

A basic introduction of how to beat juggle taken from DJ Shortees DJ 101.

A couple more tips that weren’t mentioned in this clip: Make sure the records are the same tempo / pitch level and notice the black markers to indicate the start of the beat.

Shortee has produced a whole series of How to DJ DVD’s. For more info and to order the full DVD check out How2DJ.com.

More info and how to’s coming soon. May be some Qbert Do it Yourself!
