Dexter World DMC set 2000
Representing O-Z to the fullest. This has got to be, in my opinion, Australia’s best DMC entrant ever. It might (or might not) be fair to say that Dexter really should have won this title, with all respect to DJ Craze and his skills. Dexter had to accept a modest 2nd place in the World DMC championships in 2000.
Yes, here is some consistency between this and the last post, as Dexter is supporting the almighty Shadow at the forum on June 7th ‘07. Should be a great show considering the skills of both of these awesome tablists.

Only reason Craze won was for the marketing reasons so they could say Craze won 3 times in a row.. Crazes routine sounded ok, but he didn’t showcase enough skills. DMC is pop. Dexta rips sh!t. Aparently he had a few minutes standing ovation after his set…
Dexter’s mix sure is more musical and I do agree that he diserved to win that year -at least for the sake of creating a new trend in mixing (to my mind the very foundation of Birdy Nam Nam’s and C2C’s style).
Still Craze was the only one to perform body tricks and the rather more impressive mixing with two hands (one on each record). And the part where Craze scratches while holding and moving the cell is amazing.
Yet, once again, his set sounds terribly geeky and wrong and boring after Dexter’s very inspired and very light musical performance.
Did you notice that he’s wearing a old AC/DC T-shirt ?
Did you notice that Dexter seems really disapointed at the end of his set ?
