Senses Overloaded Promo Video 3

The third and final part in the series (see part 1 and part 2). This one is the same set seen in an earlier post, but worth seeing again, as it has slight variations. Senses Overloaded is Lamont and 2Tall. Visuals by Teknar.

Senses Overloaded Promo Video 2

The second in the series of three promos from lamont (see part 1and part 3). This part showcases the live layering abilities of Ableton Live when combined with a foot controller to sample & loop and progressively create a tune. Lamont drops the layers half way through and rips into some more smooth cuts, then manages to re-introduce the layers he crafted earlier.

Senses Overloaded Promo Video 1

The first in a series of three videos produced and arranged by lamont and 2tall (see part 2 and part 3). Lamont’s smooth style of cuts over some fresh breaks with the assistance of 2Tall make for some good listening.

DMC French 2007 Champion - DJ Fly

Quite a nice set from Fly - I quite like his style - however I find it is quite similar to the style of other turntablists from France. Fly shows he has a nice consistent set of skills, but unfortunately not enough to take him through to win the world championships. It did get him a respectable 3rd place though.

DJ M-RODE 2007 Competition Set

‘Prepare for a Turntablism revolution’. Well I think it is happening - we are moving away from the styles of old and into the new. A nice little example of the newer type of style thats out there. Quite a solid set overall, but it kind of lost my interest after the 4 minute mark. I believe this set earned M-Rode third place at the 2007 French DMC’s.

The Bastard Language Tour Bonus 2/3

I love D-Styles hes always got some insanely different cuts, and Ricci Rucker always has the goods too. A nice combination. You’ll see later in this video that Mike Boo makes an appearance and they get into some next shit. Reminiscent of the styles Ricci Rucker & Mike Boo’s collaboration Sketchbook, its this style of turntablism that really inspires me.

The Bastard Language Tour Bonus 3/3

A nice little cutting session featuring the alternate styles of D-Styles, Ricci Rucker, Toadstyle, Mike Boo and Excess. These guys all have sick cuts but decidedly different styles and I really like them all!
